This event is part of our Ask an Expert series, where curious kids (and grown-ups) are invited to meet real experts, ask all their burning questions, and engage with hands-on activities inspired by the expert’s work.
Join us and author Rissa Miller for a special reading of her children’s book, Room With a Boo, and an accompanying festive activity!
Rissa Miller is an award-winning children’s author, storyteller, and professional collector of things that go bump in the night. Her picture book, Room With a Boo, is a sweet, not-too-scary ghost story about friendship, belonging, and what happens when your new bestie happens to be a ghost!
When she isn’t writing, Rissa can usually be found leading tours and talks, digging into old legends, or searching for chosts in the pages of history. Room With a Boo was named a 2026 Next Generation Indie Book Award winner and received an Honorable Mention in the Purple Dragonfly Book Awards.
